“Heydar Aliyev Memorial Hall” book presented in Baku

The presentation of “Heydar Aliyev Memorial Hall” book has today been held at the Milli Majlis. The event was dedicated to the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

In his opening remarks, speaker of Azerbaijan`s parliament Ogtay Asadov pointed out that Heydar Aliyev is the founder of independent and modern Azerbaijan. “Thanks to the national leader the Azerbaijani people laid strong foundations of political and state independence.”

Asadov spoke of the national leader`s services for his nation, and underlined that five years had passed since the establishment of the Heydar Aliyev Memorial Hall at the parliament.
Other speakers also emphasized the wise and far-sighted policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev. “Successful political development strategy led by the national leader was established, and it played a decisive role in the country`s life. Azerbaijan has become a country with high prestige not only in the region, but also in the world. President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues Heydar Aliyev`s political course.”

The MPs proposed organizing various events next year to mark the 90th anniversary of the national leader, and shoot a film on Heydar Aliyev`s tenure as the chairman of the parliament.
“Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan – the fourth convocation” book was also presented at the event.
