Germany marks 20th anniversary of Shusha`s occupation

A remembrance ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Shusha`s occupation has been held in Dresden, capital of Saxony province, Germany. The ceremony organized by ALM.AZ Society has brought together historians, representatives of German Societies, delegates of Jews, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan communities.

Addressing the ceremony, the participants were informed about history of the town, its culture, as well as Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Azerbaijan`s delegation also informed on the occupation the Armenian armed forces realized in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

They were told about resolutions adopted by UN Security Council and other international organizations on demanding unconditional and immediate withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.

The ceremony also featured demonstration of a documentary film on Shusha town.
The books, documents and disks on occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh and Shusha town by Armenian armed forces were disseminated among the participants.
