Azerbaijani First Lady opens newly redeveloped Shuvalan district orphanage and kindergarten Number 78 - PHOTOS

Azerbaijani first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva yesterday inaugurated Shuvalan district orphanage and kindergarten Number 78 after redevelopment.

Mehriban Aliyeva cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility, and then toured it.
There is a photo exhibition in the building`s foyer reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s, President Ilham Aliyev`s and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva`s attention and care towards children.

The facility was redeveloped under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s “A new school for renewing Azerbaijan” program. The two-storey facility is capable of holding up to 120 children.

The president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was told that the facility`s area was also redeveloped, and playgrounds were built here. The facility was built in 1945. It was home to 85 children who were living in four groups until 2009 when their number was increased to 115 to live in six groups.
