South African newspaper publishes Azerbaijani diplomat's article

The South African Republic (SAR)-based Beeld newspaper has published an article of the Azerbaijani ambassador, Elkhan Polukhov. The article says the main purpose of the opening of Azerbaijani embassy in the South African Republic is that the country is a gate to south and center of Africa and has leading role in the continent.

The diplomat underlines the necessity of expansion of economic relations between Azerbaijan and SAR. The ambassador also notes the possibility of establishment of cooperation between the two countries in energy, tourism and other spheres.

Polukhov stresses the importance of opening of the embassy of SAR in Azerbaijan, adding it will contribute to developing the bilateral cooperation.
