'We won’t ask anyone’s permission in regard to ties with Iran'

"We will not ask anyone's permission in regard to relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran," Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran on Tuesday, MNA reported.

Salehi also said Iran is a "true friend of Azerbaijan" and expressed hope that the relations between the two neighbors would improve.
