Shusha`s occupation marked in Germany

 An event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Shusha`s occupation has been held at the Institute for Market Economics in Magdeburg, Germany. The event has been co-organized by Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Germany, State Committee on Work with Diaspora and Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany and initiated by German-Azerbaijan Cultural Society functioning in Saxony-Anhalt province.

The event started with a minute of silence to revere memory of victims killed in Shusha. Chairman of Germany-Azerbaijan Society Yashar Niftaliyev briefed the participants about the terrible massacres perpetrated by Armenians in Shusha.

The participants were informed on historic places of the town, as well as its cultural centers.
The participants also exchanged views on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev`s order on the 20th anniversary of occupation of the town of Shusha by the Armenian armed was read at the event. The event also featured demonstration of film and information on Azerbaijan`s map as well as its territory, nature.
