Kazakhstan attaches great importance to military cooperation with Azerbaijan

One of the important aspects of Kazakhstan's foreign policy is the military cooperation with Azerbaijan, military attache of the Kazakh Embassy in Baku Marat Batalov said today at the event dedicated to the Day of the Kazakh Armed Forces.

He said that Kazakh students will graduate from the Azerbaijan High Military Naval School for the first time this year.

The armed forces of independent Kazakhstan celebrate the 20th anniversary on May 7, 2012.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the government to amend the law on "Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan". According to it, May 7 is proclaimed a national holiday - the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
