New union maybe created in opposition camp

Various forms of cooperation have been proposed by "Adalat" to "troika" -- the Green Party, the Citizen and Development Party and the Liberal Party, Chairman of the Citizen and Development Party Ali Aliyevtold Trend today.

"We try for the proposal not to negatively impact on our relations with other parties," he added. "Therefore, we are engaged in a detailed study of this proposal. We strive for our relations to be long-term and strategic. So, we are not in a hurry to make a decision."

Chairman of the Green Party Mais Gulaliyev told Trend that it will be difficult to reach a consensus on this proposal due to some differences in the positions of Adalat party and the Liberal Party, included in troika.

"However, we are working to link the positions of these parties," he said. "We try to normalize relations between them and represent them in the new format of cooperation."

Chairman of the Citizen and Development Party also stressed that the negotiations are underway to bring the positions of the parties closer.

Deputy Chairman of Adalat Etimad Ismailov told Trend that he does not rule out the possibility of creating a new opposition union.

A meeting will be held between "Adalat" and "troika" on Friday.
