Azerbaijani top official to visit Saudi Arabia

An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov will visit Saudi Arabia on May 4-8, parliamentary spokesman Akif Tavakkuloglu told journalists on Thursday.

He said the delegation includes Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights Rabiyat Aslanova, MPs Fattah Heydarov, Sahiba Gafarova, Imamverdi Ismailov, Chingiz Asadullayev, and Aydin Mirzazade, head of the Azerbaijani Parliament's office Safa Mirzayev and other officials.

During the visit, the meetings were held with chairman of the Mejlis of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, members of the Inter-Parliamentary Group and other officials of this country.

The views on prospects of developing the inter-parliamentary relations, mutual visits of delegations, exchange of experience in the legislative sphere, as well as information exchange and other issues of mutual interest will be discussed.
