Overwhelming majority of Azerbaijanis support President Ilham Aliyev

The overwhelming majority of the population of Azerbaijan supports President Ilham Aliyev, according to the results of the poll recently conducted by “Rey” Monitoring Center.

Results of the poll have shown that if the presidential elections would take place on nearest Sunday, the overwhelming majority (about 91 percent) of voters would vote for the present Head of the State Ilham Aliyev.

Some 87 percent of respondents said President Ilham Aliyev is completely equitable to their interests. The majority of the interrogated (77 percent) have noted that if next Sunday the presidential elections would take place they would take part in voting. The survey was conducted among 1500 persons aged 18 years or older.
