Italian magazine publishes article on occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia

A conference dedicated to the quarterly journal of the “Farefuturo Fondazione” Fund was held at the Italian Parliament. The 236-page edition is named “The Forgotten Wars” and dedicated to the unsolved conflicts in Europe. The edition also includes large material on occupation of the Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, the Khojaly genocide.

Attended by some 75 Italian parliamentarians, scholars, businessmen and civil society reps the conference discussed the question. The journal presents articles titled “Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan and the Khojaly genocide” (Christopher Bowden, American international relations and law expert), comments on the UN Security Council’s resolutions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict (by Azerbaijan’s permanent representative to the United Nations Agshin Mehdiyev), other materials on occupation of Azerbaijani lands.

The edition writes about the indemnity to be paid to Azerbaijan for material damage the country underwent as a result of aggression and occupation of Armenia. “Unfortunately, the demands of international organizations and mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group has not yielded fruit”, socialist Stephanie Kraksi said at the conference. It is high time to make effective efforts”, the parliamentarian emphasizes.

Parliamentarian A. Urso has criticized ineffective activity of France as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group to solve the conflict. The conferees have all stated that Europe, including Italy have to make joint efforts to reach peace and fair solution of the problem – to liberate the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia.
