Azerbaijan- Hungary cooperation to reach strategic level

Azerbaijan and Hungary will reach the level of strategic cooperation during the nearest years, Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Sándor Fazekas said at the opening of the Days of Hungary's Culture in Baku today.

The Days of Culture are associated with the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between the countries.

He said that Hungary was among the first countries which recognized Azerbaijan's independence. He expressed confidence that the priorities for further cooperation will be determined during his current visit to Baku and the talks held with the Azerbaijani government.

"I hope that we can achieve great results in agriculture and other spheres", he said.

The minister added that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to Hungary in autumn.
