Azerbaijan to join CIS PA`s meeting in Russia

Deputies of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) will today leave for St. Petersburg, Russia to attend permanent meetings of the Commonwealth of Independent States` (CIS) Parliamentary Assembly (PA).

The Azerbaijani delegation including Haji Salayev, Adil Aliyev, Rasim Musabayov, Rufat Guliyev and Igbal Mammadov will deliver speeches to the effect and share their views. The visit will last till Friday.

According to press service of the Milli Majlis, the meeting of CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation`s agenda features 20th jubilee of CIS, the role of observers in presidential and parliamentary elections and referendums, the activity of Analytical Information Center and other issues.

Discussions of CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues`s meeting will focus on the ensuring of information security in member states of CIS PA, legal regulation of telecommunications network operation, improvement of national legislations on antiterrorism, extremism, against human traffic and fighting corruption and others.
