President Ilham Aliyev visits northwestern region- UPDATE - PHOTOS

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated Agstafa Agro-service LLC. President Ilham Aliyev was told that, Agstafa Agro-service LLC operations would create opportunities to increase productivity, efficient use of soil resources. The facility will offer seed, fertilizer and chemical preparation which will provide qualitative and high productivity.

An administrative section of the Company has a photo gallery reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s and President Ilham Aliyev`s visits to Agstafa region. The section has two canteens, conference hall, and laboratory.

The construction of the LLC which covers total area of one hectare has started in June, 2010.
The Head of State got acquainted with warehouse of the facility.

President Ilham Aliyev also viewed pricing table reflecting structure, services and agro-technical activities of the Company. The facility employs 30 people and has capacity to render services not only in Agstafa, but also in Gazakh and Tovuz regions.

The Head of State was informed on the Company`s grain warehouse, grain processing and flour production section which will be established in the future. An agro laboratory, three grain depositories with capacity of 30000 tonnes, and three seed depositories with capacity of 6000 tonnes are planned to build here. A bread and confectionery plant is also planned to be constructed here. 28 people will be employed in the facility. 25 percent of the project is financed by Azerbaijan Investment Company, 75 percent by RAO Global Group.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the project of Agstafa Milk Open Joint Stock Company which would be built in Boyuk Kasik settlement. The aim of the project is to establish dairy complex which will include feed, cattle-breeding and milk plants.

The Head of State got acquainted with the planting aggregate Compact-Solitair 9. President Ilham Aliyev was informed on three wheat and a barley seed which are produced only by this facility in the country.

The Head of State viewed Agstafa Milk Open Joint Stock Company`s model, and was told that the facility will employ 114 people. The project is planned to be realized in three stages. The first phase has already been completed. The second stage will start in August.

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev yesterday  viewed “Goytapa” archaeological monument of Neolithic Age as part of his visit to Tovuz. The Head of State was informed that the monument is the largest ancient settlement of Neolithic Age in the South Caucasus (sixth millennium B.C.). It covers the total area of two hectares.

President Ilham Aliyev toured the area of the archaeological monument. He was told that archaeological excavations had been carried out here with participation of representatives of the French National Research Center and University of Tokyo since 2008.

The Head of State viewed stone and bone tools which were discovered in the ancient settlement.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed stands reflecting restoration work at “Goytapa” archaeological monument.

The presentation of the monument was held at the University of Tokyo in 2009, at the British Museum and at “College de France” in 2010, at the Russian Academy of Sciences Archaeology Institute and Georgian Museum of Natural History in 2011. Young archaeologists` summer school was organized at the monument last year as part of “Ancient cultures of the South Caucasus” project.

Under the 2010-2014 State Program on development of tourism in Azerbaijan the monument`s area will be redeveloped. An open-air archeopark will be created at the monument`s area in accordance with a grant project of the Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev yesterday opened Ayan Palace Hotel in Tovuz region.  The Head of State was informed that the construction of the Hotel started in March, 2008. The five-storied building has a restaurant that seats 120 people. A 700-seat conference hall was built adjacent to the hotel, which will have a 70-seat bar, offices and stores.

The Ayan Palace Hotel has 65 rooms.  The Head of State viewed Spa and Health Center which will feature fitness halls, indoor pool, sauna, Turkish and Finnish bathhouses, massage and hydrotherapy rooms. The hotel also has a 40-seat meeting hall.

The facility employs 50 people, with the number of staff to be increased to 110 in the future.

President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday inaugurated administrative building for Yeni Azerbaijan Party`s (YAP) Agstafa regional branch. The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the building. The building holds 450 sq. meters of floor space.

A photo gallery was launched in the building depicting activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President, YAP Chairman Ilham Aliyev and their visits to Agstafa. The building consists of several rooms and a conference hall.

President Ilham Aliyev gave respective recommendations and instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has opened Poylu-Khatai-Yenigun-Ashagi Goychali highway as part of his visit to northwestern regions.

The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the 7.5-km-long facility.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed that over 6,000 people live in the villages adjacent to the highway. The highway has three modern bus stops.

President Ilham Aliyev met with villagers.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated newly-redeveloped Culture and Leisure Park after Samad Vurgun in Agstafa.

There is a bust to Samad Vurgun and a grandiose Book Monument dedicated to the poet`s work in the park.

The Head of State put flowers at the monument. President Ilham Aliyev was told that the total area of the park is 2.8 hectares.  The park has fountains and a modern lightning system. Decorative flowers and bushes were planted here.

The park has a wireless internet network.  There are also the House of Writers and Vurgun`s cafe here.

The Head of State met with the region`s intellectuals at the House of Writers. Chairman of Gazakh regional branch of the Azerbaijani Writers` Union Barat Vusal handed over a book on poets of Gazakh region to the Head of State.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Youth Center in the country`s Agstafa region.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility. President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the Center covers an area of 450 square meters, and has a photo galley which includes stands reflecting successful youth policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, as well as their visits to Agstafa.

The center has a karaoke-disco, cafe, interactive and pneumatic skeet-shooting hall, 3D cinema club, and internet cafe.  There are a 260-seat summer cinema hall and disco hall near the Center.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today familiarized himself with Heydar Aliyev Park of culture and rest in Agstafa region.  The Head of State was informed the total area of the park is 4,8 hectares.

The park got 3 fountains and modern lightning system A monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev has been erected in the center of the park housing the Youth Center, summer cinema, café, veteran`s club and free zone Wi-Fi.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the reconstruction work, gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today arrived in Agstafa region of Azerbaijan. The Head of State visited monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and put flowers at it.

Agstafa governor Maharram Guliyev updated the President on redevelopment works carried out in the Heydar Aliyev Park.

The Head of State cut a red ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility.

The Head of State was informed that the reconstruction work of the Center initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation started here in December, 2011.

A bust to the national leader Heydar Aliyev was erected in the foyer of the center. The photostand reflecting visits of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to Gazakh, meetings held with young people was also opened here.

A total area of the new building is 750 square meters. The Centre has five training, service and computer rooms and canteen. The Head of State watched the games of young chess players. President Ilham Aliyev hailed the conditions created here and gave relevant instructions

President of Azerbaijan on April 12 opened Gazakhbayli-Ashaghi Salahli motorway as part of his visit to Gazakh region of Azerbaijan.

The Head of State met with constructers. He has congratulated a group of constructions who have been awarded honorary titles in accordance with Presidential Order signed April 10.

President then viewed a scheme reflecting the reconstruction of road systems in Gazakh region.
Transport minister Ziya Mammadov told President Ilham Aliyev that the new motorway will provide high quality link between 3 villages with total population of 5,000.

The second project, Yukhari Salahli-Kamarli motorway will connect 4 villages. The main part of the works has been already completed on the road. The third project includes reconstruction of the 53-km-long Agstafa-Poylu-Georgia highway. President Ilham Aliyev cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the new motorways.

President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated Gazakh Canning Factory of Azersun-Holding Ltd. The Head of State saw the stand of the enterprises launched by Azersun-Holding in other regions of Azerbaijan.

A total amount of the factory, with a capacity of 21.5 thousand tons, is 14 million AZN. The National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry of Economic Development granted lax credit in amount of 6.8 million AZN.

The area of the factory is 4.7 hectares. The photostand reflecting enterprises of the Azersun-Holding with participation of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev during 1996-2011 was also opened here.

The Head of State familiarized himself with production project of the factory and watched a short film. President of Azerbaijan saw stands reflecting investment projects on Ganja-Gazakh economic region funded by lax credits of the government.

Executive director of the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support Shirzad Abdullayev said new job places have been opened due to the lax credits.

The Head of State familiarized himself with the factory`s lab. President Ilham Aliyev pressed a button to put a facility into operation. The tinned and frozen goods will be exported abroad.

President Ilham Aliyev chatted with employees of the factory. The workers thanked President of Azerbaijan for achievements gained in the country over the past years. The Head of State wished the staff success and gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Youth Center in Gazakh region of Azerbaijan as part of his visit to northwestern regions. The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing an official opening of the Center.

Construction of the Youth Center, which started in January 2012, has ended this month. The two-storied building covers area of 1160 square meters. The photo galley reflecting visits of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to Gazakh region and meetings held with young people was also opened in the Center. A bust to Heydar Aliyev was also erected here.

The Head of State familiarized himself with e-library. The books about political activity of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev were placed here. The computer hall and cafe-bar were also opened in the Center. The Head of State gave relevant instructions.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today arrived in Gazakh region of Azerbaijan as part of his visit to northwestern regions. The Head of State visited monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Gazakh and put flowers at it.

Gazakh governor Ayaz Asgarov updated the President on redevelopment works carried out in the Heydar Aliyev Park. The construction works were carried out in January-April in the park with a total area of 4 hectares. President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions.
