Chairperson of Russian Federation Council visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

The chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko and her accompanying delegation has visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. They were informed about the activity of the Foundation established in memory of the Azerbaijani people`s national leader Heydar Aliyev.

They were told that the main goal of the Foundation is to study and popularize the national leader`s heritage, give an idea to the future generations and foreign visitors about his large-scale activity to achieve Azerbaijan`s socio-economic, cultural progress, and assist projects promoting the country`s history and culture.

Mrs. Matvienko signed the Foundation`s guestbook. The chairperson said national leader Heydar Aliyev`s memory is deeply revered in Russia. The chairperson praised the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s activity. She said the HAF actively participates in the social projects being implemented in Russia. Mrs. Matvienko hoped the implementation of the humanitarian projects between Russia and Azerbaijan will be further developed. On the Eurovision Song Contest, the chairperson said the guests will witness development of Azerbaijan.
