The EU should take the initiative to resolve the South Caucasus conflicts, Azerbaijani MP Faraj Guliyev said at the last plenary meeting of the regular session of the Euronest PA, held in Baku.
"Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia are members of the Eastern Partnership and seek to integrate into Europe. The EU has special representatives for the South Caucasus and Georgia," said the MP.
He said that at present the OSCE Minsk Group is engaged with the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
"However, the OSCE Minsk Group acts as a forum in discussions and could help resolve this conflict," Guliyev said.
The Azerbaijani MP proposed that the EU organises a forum to resolve the conflict and on that basis, discussions can show ways of solving problems.
