Kazakh top official to visit Baku

Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2012, Azerbaijani Parliament told Trend on Tuesday.

The agreement on the visit was reached during Kazakh Parliament's Speaker Nigmatulin's meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ogtay Asadov within the meeting on the twentieth anniversary of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

During his visit to Baku Nigmatulin will discuss the expansion and deepening of cooperation between the parliaments of both countries.

Attending the meeting between Asadov and Nigmatulin, Kazakh Senate Chairman Kairat Mami stressed the dynamic development of bilateral relations, including between the legislative bodies of the two countries. Mami said that he will visit Azerbaijan in the second half of the year. He also underlined the importance of mutual visits to exchange experiences.
