Morocco marks Genocide of Azerbaijanis

Embassy of Azerbaijan in Morocco has held a commemorative event for victims of March 31- the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis. The event brought together members of the Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Rabat and members of the general public. The event began with a minute of silence in honor victims of the genocide.

Ambassador Sabir Agabayov spoke about Armenia`s ethnic cleansing and terror policy against Azerbaijan. He said March 31 was declared the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis with national leader Heydar Aliyev`s decree in 1998. The event also featured the demonstration of photographs reflecting Armenian nationalists` terror and genocide acts against Azerbaijanis.
