Morocco seeks developed cooperation with Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabayov met with Chairman of the Moroccan parliament`s assembly of representatives K. Callab. On behalf of Milli Majlis chairman Ogtay Asadov, Mr. Agabayov congratulated Mr. Callab on his election to the post of chairman of the assembly of representatives.

The ambassador updated the chairman on history, culture, geography of Azerbaijan, international relations, Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He thanked the Moroccan government for supporting Azerbaijan`s stand on this problem.

The Azerbaijani diplomat said his country is keen to cooperate with Morocco in all spheres. He also stressed the necessity of boosting cooperation between the two countries` parliaments.
Mr. Agabayov underlined after opening of the Moroccan embassy in Azerbaijan in 2006, the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan and Morocco were held in both countries.

Mr. Callab thanked the Azerbaijani speaker for congratulations and asked the ambassador to convey his greetings. He said the government of Morocco is keen to develop relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres.

Mr. Callab thanked the government of Azerbaijan in supporting its stand in the Western Sahara conflict. He said the both countries have the similar history and roots. The chairman stressed the importance of strengthening of the two parliaments` relations.
