Azerbaijan-Germany relations appraised

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met visiting German counterpart Guido Westerwelle. During the meeting, Westerwelle said Germany was interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.

The German FM noted the two countries had wide potential to expand bilateral cooperation.
They praised development of the Azerbaijan-Germany relations. The FMs also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, including expansion of cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and cultural fields.

Foreign Minister of Germany Guido Westerwelle has today arrived in Azerbaijan as part of his visit to the South Caucasus. During the 2-day trip, the German Minister will have a number of meetings with Azerbaijani officials to discuss prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries, as well as regional and international issues.
