
Members of Azerbaijan-Belgium interparliamentary friendship group met Wednesday in Brussels President of Belgian Senate Sabine de Bethune, MPs François-Xavier de Donnéa, Philip Blanshar and President of the Walloon Parliament Jean-Charles Luperto.
During the meetings, the European community to increase efforts towards resolution of the problem. spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and called for the European community to increase efforts towards resolution of the problem.
Debates on the role of EU member states in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were organized in the framework of dinner held with Pierre Legros, founder of the Lawyers Without Borders organization and Claude Moniquet, Director of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center.
The same day Azerbaijani and Belgian parliamentarians, public and political figures of Brussels participated in a photo exhibition called “Cry of Karabakh in photos”. The exhibition, consisted of photos taken by photo correspondent of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) Ilgar Jafarov was organized in Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Brussels on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide.
Opening the event, ambassador Emin Eyyubov spoke of the history of the Khojaly genocide.
Member of Azerbaijan parliament Azar Karimli thanked his Belgian counterparts and others for the participation in the exhibition.
