Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Association in Sweden Sattar Sevigin met Deputy Secretary General of country`s parliament Ulf Christoffersson to hand over a Federation`s letter to the Swedish parliament related to the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre.
The letter asks the Swedish parliament to acknowledge as genocide the tragedy perpetrated by Armenians in the town of Khojaly on February 26 and recognize Armenia as an occupying state, which refuses to honor UN Security Council`s four resolutions demanding an unconditional and immediate withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands and other issues.
Also in the meeting Sattar Sevigin noted Khojaly massacre perpetrated by Armenians is a black page in the history of human race. “Khojaly events are the part of the ethnic cleansing policy carried out against Azerbaijanis,” he added.
