‘Karabakh will never be equated to Kosovo’

Armenia’s desires and dreams to turn Karabakh into Kosovo will never come true, Expert Zardusht Alizade said, when commenting on Armenia’s call to the United States to take on Karabakh issue the same position as on Kosovo.
 
"Let's compare. Several hundreds of thousands of Serbs live in Kosovo, which indicates that there was no total ethnic cleansing in Kosoo. And how many Azerbaijanis lives in Karabakh? Practically, not a single. Only this suggests that the authorities in Kosovo, which also is governed by a criminal regime as in Karabakh, had enough sense not to carry-out ethnic cleansing. But, the Armenian leaders did not have enough sense fir this. They perpetrated ethnic cleansing, which was of a total character,” he noted.

Alizade said the positions of Azerbaijan and Serbia in the world also differ. “Today, our country is an important part of the world community, oil and gas source and venue for various events of the international scale. Therefore, Armenia’s attempts to present Karabakh as Kosovo will fail,” the expert stressed.
