'Azerbaijan done great job in field of nuclear safety'

Azerbaijan will turn into one of the countries that have undertaken the internationally responsibility for the security of the world, and contribute to security in the South Caucasus by participating at the second summit on nuclear security in Seoul, Ambassador of Korea in Azerbaijan, Lee Ji-ha said on Tuesday.

Fifty countries and four international organizations will participate at the second summit on nuclear security, which will be held on March 26-27 in Seoul.

"The summit will discuss three main issues, the strengthening of international cooperation in preventing nuclear danger, the effective protection of nuclear materials, and prevention of illegal trafficking of nuclear materials. In addition to these issues the issue of protection of radioactive materials will also be discuss," Ji-ha said.

A special program to provide nuclear symposium will be prepared for spouses of presidents that will participate at the conference.

"Azerbaijan has done a great job in the field of nuclear safety in recent years. With regard to security in the Caspian Sea Azerbaijan is cooperating with the Caspian states. Korea has invited Azerbaijan to the summit, taking into account all of this" Ji-ha said.
