Azerbaijan-NATO ties are developing

Visiting NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai has today met with the NISA sessions` participant students. Appathurai pointed out that, fruitful discussions on Azerbaijan-NATO relations were held during the meetings as part of the visit.

The NATO official lauded Azerbaijan`s contributions to the ISAF operations, adding the country is an `important` partner of NATO. Appathurai said the Azerbaijan-NATO ties are developing in various spheres.

He underlined there will be meetings with representatives of the ISAF contributing nations as part of the NATO summit in Chicago. He added that an agreement on implementation of the third stage of IPAP has already been signed.
