Jordanian top official to visit Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Jordanian Senate (upper house of parliament) Taher Masri is planning to visit Azerbaijan in April, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli said following the meeting with Mr Masri, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Jordan reported on Tuesday.

During the conversation, an official invitation from the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov was handed over to Mr Masri.

At the meeting both sides exchanged views on the development of inter-parliamentary Azerbaijan-Jordan cooperation, arranging exchange of visits of the representatives of legislative bodies and intensifying activity of the friendship group between the two parliaments.

In conclusion, Mr Arasli presented a book about Azerbaijan published in Jordan to the Senate chairman.
