Azerbaijani ambassador takes office

Azerbaijani ambassador in South Africa Elkhan Polukhov has handed his credentials over to the country`s president Jacob Zuma. The Azerbaijani diplomat conveyed President Ilham Aliyev`s greetings to the South African leader.

Polukhov said he was pleased to be appointed the first ambassador of Azerbaijan in South Africa.
The ambassador hailed the Azerbaijan-South African relations, saying they were rapidly developing.

Polukhov said he will spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties. The South African leader welcomed Polukhov and wished him successes in his new position.
