Azerbaijan-Turkey ties mulled

01 February 2012 [12:07] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani MPs discussed the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations and expressed their attitude towards the desire of certain forces in Turkey to harm relations between the two countries.

The Turks must support each other, MP Gular Ahmadova said on Monday at an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Ahmadova noted the importance of Turkic world consolidation.

Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood and strategic partnerships are at a very high level, Ahmadova added, but Turkic Diasporas operating worldwide must work even harder.

"An insidious enemy, the Armenians, opposes us," Ahmadova said.

The unity between Turkey and Azerbaijan is in deed and not in name, and embodied in the history, MP Jale Aliyev said at the event.

The MP Musa Gasimli noted that recently he has been working in the Moscow archives and it is necessary to examine archival documents in Moscow.

"Nobody will believe in "Armenian genocide" after these documents are published, because they were written by independent persons at the beginning of last century" Gasimli said.

In the result of investigation it was revealed that in reality the forces tending to harm relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey aren't Turks, MP Agil Abbas said.

Relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are unique, Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva said. "It is very significant and important that today we are fighting together against a common enemy," Pashayeva said.

There will be persons wishing to harm Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in the future, Pashayeva said. "We must not allow this, because both countries are strongly linked to each other." Pashayeva added.

Let the big public demonstration will be held at Taksim Square in Istanbul on February 26 accompanied by the words We are all people of Karabakh, we are all people of Khojaly, proposed Pashayeva. "If it be announced in advance the whole area will be filled instantly" Pashayeva added.
