'Azerbaijani community of Karabakh backs peaceful settlement of dispute'

Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Padraig Murphy met with the members of the “Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Karabakh” Public Association.

Special Representative was informed on the situation caused by the conflict, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict as a result of which millions of Azerbaijanis were driven out from their homelands, the problem`s negative impact on the entire region.

Ambassador Padraig Murphy was told that the Azerbaijani community backs peaceful settlement of the dispute and wish to return to their homes quickly. OSCE Special Representative spoke of the efforts his Organization makes for settlement of the conflict, expressed hope to achieve peaceful agreement.
