Tragedy of 20 January: Soviet troops enter Baku - PHOTOS

The armed units of the Soviet Union entered Baku and some other regions of Azerbaijan on night from 19 to 20 January, 1990.
In total, unlawful entry of troops in Baku and regions of the country killed 133 and  injured 744. Some 841 people were illegally arrested and 5 people went missing.

Soldiers looted and burned 200 houses and apartments and 80 car.
