Scientists have created the first three-dimensional invisible coat

19 March 2010 [13:45] - TODAY.AZ
Employees of the Technological Institute of Karlsruhe in Germany have created a material that makes things invisible in three dimensions.
"Magic" substance is a frame made of polymer blocks of 100-200 microns. It makes the object of thickness slightly less than half micron, lying on a flat surface "disappear". Previously, scientists have attempted to create something similar, but before the items could become invisible, only if you look at them at a certain angle.

Now it is possible to look at the objects hidden under "invisible coat" at the angles from 0 to 60 degrees. The creators of the material indicate that demonstrated "trick" was a huge step towards the creation of invisible materials, which can find practical application.
