"Azerbaijani exhibition in Uzbekistan to become 'milestone' in economic relations"

The Azerbaijan's Achievements National Exhibition will be a milestone in the development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Uzbek External Relations, Investments and Trade Minister Elyor Ganiyev said at the event's opening ceremony in Tashkent.

"An agreement reached by Uzbek President Islam Karimov and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev led to the organization of this exhibition," he said. "Our historically close relations have now received an additional impetus for future development."

The exhibition is the first of its kind and is organized by the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry. It is held at a 4,500-square-meter expo center. More than 170 companies representing over 1,700 goods are taking part in the exhibition.
