AITF 2010 will feature the following destinations: Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Cyprus, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore. National stands, one of the main attractions of any travel exhibition, will feature prominently at AITF 2010.
For the first at AITF 2010, India, whose ancient culture and rich history attracts tourists from all over the world, will present its tourism potential. During the exhibition, professional actors from India will perform a programme of exciting national dances.
The exhibition will be attended by tourist companies from the island of Mauritius. Last year, only one company from this exotic country took part in the exhibition. This year, a whole group of Mauritian companies will participate in the AITF exhibition.
One of the exhibitors this year will be Greece, which will offer visitors a variety of resorts, from mountains and sea to historical excursions.
The heart of European tourism, the Czech Republic, a permanent exhibitor at AITF, will present its popular spa resorts, such as Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne and others.
Swiss tour operators, one of which is the largest tour operator in Europe for the CIS, will show a huge range of possibilities for different types of tourists.
Dubai, which is called the Venice of the East, has more and more participating companies at the exhibition every year. This year, AITF will feature the UAE’s national stand, as well as tourism companies presenting a wide network of luxury hotels in Dubai, and exotic tourism in a small Bedouin village. In addition, there will be special offers for shopping enthusiasts.
Exotic destinations, under the title “Paradise islands”, will be presented by Malaysia – taking part in the exhibition for the second consecutive year - Thailand, the Seychelles and the Maldives.
Ukrainian companies will offer Black Sea resorts to Azerbaijani visitors. A priority area of tourism in Ukraine is balneology resorts and spa treatment, which are very popular in Azerbaijan. The exhibition will feature the health resorts of Truskavets, which is famous for its variety of mineral waters.
The Stavropol Region has announced its intention to have a stand at AITF 2010, at which it will present a whole range of health resort treatments. As part of the exhibition, an info tour will be organised for a delegation of entrepreneurs from Stavropol Region, headed by the administrative leadership. Interest in Azerbaijan from this region of Russia is very high. According to a survey, Azerbaijani citizens make up 20% of the occupancy of health centres in the Stavropol Region. This sphere of cooperation is, therefore, very promising, as shown by the active participation of the Stavropol delegation in AITF 2010.
Azerbaijan will act as the hospitable host. The network of hotels in the Absheron Zone will be widely presented, including new new tourist facilities hat opened this year. Internal regional tourism in Azerbaijan will be presented by hotels in Gilan, Nabran, Mingechevir, Ogus and other and Ogus. The regions of Azerbaijan will be featured in a separate pavilion for the first time. Each city will have the opportunity to present its own programme. Traditionally, the stand of Garabagh will present the magnificent nature of this unordinary zone. The organiser of the stand is the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic.
