Azerbaijani, Swedish delegations mull Eurovision-2013

A meeting on the Eurovision-2013 song contest was held in head office of the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva, Switzerland.

Delegation from Azerbaijan, which hosted the Eurovision-2012 and Sweden, the winner of the contest also participated in the meeting.

APA reports quoting eurovision.tv that SVT, which is the Host Broadcaster for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, announced Christel Tholse Willers (Head of Relations), Christer Björkman (Show Producer) and Johan Bernhagen (Head of Production) will join Martin Österdahl’s team. As announced before, Österdahl is the Executive Producer of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.

"These are three people who all represent solid professional knowledge, high level of personal integrity and good judgment," Österdahl says. Christel Tholse Willers will be responsible for branding, new media, communication and coordination. John Bernhagen will be responsible for the international television broadcast and production and services, and Christer Björkman for the content and format of the shows. Christel Tholse Willers has a background as a project manager for the Eurovision Song Contest. Christer Björkman is undoubtedly Sweden’s best show producer and has also been the Swedish Head of Delegation for many years. John Bernhagen is behind the most advanced and ambitious SVT broadcasts, from sporting events to the royal wedding in the summer of 2010. The preliminary dates for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest are 14, 16 and 18th of May and it’ll be hosted in Sweden. No decision on the Host City has yet been made.

Swedish representative Loreen won victory at the Eurovision-2012 song contest which was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
