Azeri delegation attends 7th Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers

Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism Abulfaz Garayev and his accompanied delegation participates in the 7th Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers in Algeria.

The Conference called on ISESCO to continue publicizing the Cultural Strategy for the Islamic World, in its amended version, among Members States` relevant parties, civil society organs, as well as parallel regional and international organizations, and increase activities and programs under its action plans to activate the Strategy and achieve its objectives of promoting Islamic cultural action. Moreover, it urged the relevant parties in the Member States to increase effort to push forward the Strategy and its key elements, streamline cultural action into comprehensive development, and increase public and private financial support for cultural projects under this Strategy.

The final document of the conference included items on justice for Khojaly, destroyed Islamic heritage in Karabakh and aggressive policy of Armenia. Mr. Garayev also met with ministers of culture of Algeria, Morocco, Iran, Jordan and other countries.
