World-renowned jazzman Al Jarreau to perform in Azerbaijan

A seven-time Grammy Award winner, Jarreau is the second artist in history after Michael Jackson to win in the three separate categories: Jazz, Pop, and R&B. He also won the Grammys within a span of four consecutive decades — the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

The jazzman`s concert will take place on July 27, according to Farhad Badalbeyli, rector of the Baku Music Academy. The festival will also feature a joint concert by Badalbeyli and Murad Adigozalzadeh and also the performance of Russian pianist Boris Berezovsky. The festival will be co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Azerbaijan Union of Musicians.
