Azerbaijan's ballet dancer to perform in Georgia

The First Tbilisi International Ballet Festival will be held from June 21 to July 2.

The ballet dancers from Georgia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the United States and Germany will gather at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Zachary Paliashvili, Report.az reported.

The festival will be opened with premiere of ballet Laurencia by Alexander Krein.

The festival will also feature the ballet Don Quixote by composer Ludwig Minkus, in which the soloists of the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow - Ekaterina Krysanova and Vladislav Lantratov will perform.

The ballet Swan Lake on the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky  will be presented to the audience  on July 1.

The leading soloists of the Polish National Ballet - Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Chinara Alizade (Odette-Idylia) and Vladimir Yaroshenko (Prince Siegfried) will perform in the presentation.

The festival will end with a ballet gala concert on July 2. Ballet dancer, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, Bolshoi Theater soloist Chinara Alizade, Vladimir Yaroshenko (Polish National Ballet), Alexander Volchkov (Bolshoi Theater, Russia), Carrillo Cabrera and Mikhail Kaniskin (Berlin State Ballet, Germany), Victoria Jaiani and Temur Suluashvili (Joffrey Ballet, Chicago, USA) will act in the concert.

Chinara Alizade was born in Moscow. In 1995 she entered the Dance Academy of the New Humanitarian University of Natalia Nesterova (N. Trishina’s class). In 1999 she continued her studies at Moscow State Choreographic Academy.

In 2005 she won the 1st prize (junior group) at the International competition of ballet dancers and choreographers in Moscow and was invited to join the Ballet company of the Bolshoi Theater where she made her debut in the part of Swan/Four swans in P. Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.

Her concert repertoire includes the Grand Pas classique to music by D. Auber (choreography by V. Gzovsky), A Spell to music by D. Archer, production by A. Melanyin, The Wedding to music by J. L. Anestoy and group Bled (choreography by E. Druzhinin).
