Azerbaijani and Japanese national music performed in Japan

A concert of Japanese and Azerbaijani folk music has been held in the town of Zama,Japan. Supported by the Zama International Cooperation Association, Zama Cultural Center and Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Tokyo, the event featured Japanese and Azerbaijani musical compositions.

A photo exhibition highlighting Azerbaijan`s culture was arranged at the Zama Harmony Hall, where the concert was held.

Speaking to the event, Zama Mayor Mikio Endo and Azerbaijani ambassador in Tokyo Gwrsel Ismayilzade stressed the importance of the concert, saying it will contribute to developing the cultural relations between the two countries.

In an interview with AzerTAc`s Tokyo correspondent, chairperson of Educational and Cultural Affairs Committee at Zama Mayor`s Office said such events were of great importance in terms of promoting Azerbaijan`s culture in Japan.
