Results of Univision contest semi-finals known - PHOTOS

The results of the semi-finals of the Univision contest for Azerbaijani students organized by the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ASYOU) have been announced.

The contest, in which students of 21 universities participated, presented a 40-second video about each participant, the press service of the Ministry told Trend on Wednesday.

Given that competition is held in Azerbaijan for the first time, the jury has allowed to the final, not ten, but 13 participants. The finalists were Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan Technical University, the Khazar University, Cooperation University, Baku Music Academy, Baku Business University, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction University, Odlar Yurdu University, Azerbaijan State University of languages.

Final, in which a winner will be known, will be held on May 17. The winner will be awarded the Univision trophy and a cash prize of 3,000 manat. In addition, the winner (a performer or a band) will be involved with the ASYOU activities and will become the "face" of a number of projects of the organisation. The motto of the competition is "Be the first." Work is underway to bring universities from other countries to this project.
