Baku to host Azeri and Turkish artists` joint exhibition

A joint exhibition of Azerbaijani and Turkish painters will open at the Azerbaijan State Museum of Art on Wednesday. The exhibition will be realized at the initiative of the Azerbaijan`s Ministries of Culture and Tourism and Education and State Academy of Fine Art.

The works of Azerbaijani sculptor Omar Eldarov, Turkish painter Abidin Elderoglu and photographer Ozan Sagdic will be demonstrated at the exhibition.

Omar Eldarov is author of Sattar Bahlulzade`s portrait, Muslim Mogomayev`s bust, monument to Huseyn Javid, monument to Mammed Amin Rasulzade, Azim Azimzade, Rashid Behbudov`s bas-relief, Nizami Ganjavi`s bust in Cheboksary, gravestones of Zarifa Aliyeva, Heydar Aliyev, Shikhali Gurbanov, Tofig Guliyev, gravestone and bas-relief of Uzeyir Hajibeyov in Vienna, Niyazi`s bas-relief, monument to ?hsan Dogramac? in Ankara, memorial plaque of Tofig Guliyev.
Abidin Elderoglu one of Turkey`s leading abstract figurative painters. Being one of the eminent fine art masters in Turkey, Elderoglu is in constant search for synthesis of East and West traditions, of national originality.

Ozan Sagdic being photo journalist, served as a stage photographer at the State Theatres. He also translated many stories of Omer Hayyam and Mevlana into Turkish, and wrote poems from all stories of Nasrettin Hoca and of Bektash?.
