Yasin Hasanov reaches final of ' Children’s New Wave 2012' song contest

11-years-old Yasin Hasanov upstaged numerous competitors will represent Azerbaijan in the popular song contest conducted in Ukraine.

“Buta” Arts Centre will render support to talented young singer Yasin Hasanov in preparation to participation in the “Children’s New Wave 2012” song contest of young performers.  The contest will take place in August 15, 2012, in Crimea.

Yasin Hasanov became one of 25 semifinalists of the contest. It should be noted that the ticket to semifinal he won having successfully passed initial selection where about 100 participants had competed. In the result of semifinal conducted in April in Moscow city only 15 young performers received the opportunity to take part in final. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan supported Yasin in participation in the contest. It should be noted that some other Azerbaijan performers participated in the initial selection and semifinal of this contest, but their attempts to pass to final were unrewarded by success.

The jury of semifinal was represented by such notable music masters like Igor Krutoy, A.Revzin, A.Rumyantsev. Yasin Hasanov won the hearts of juri members and spectators having performed in the contest Mouslim Magomayev’s “Azerbaijan” song and Mario Lanza’s “Granada” song. For his beautiful singing and talent the boy was bestowed the “Bulbul” title from the jury members.

The final tour of the contest will take place in August 15 in Crimea, in the famous “Artek” center. The winner will be chosen by International Juri composition of which will include local and foreign musicians, producers, and representatives of foreign record companies.

Yasin Hasanov, a gifted son of Azerbaijan, was born in Baku in 2000. He entered the Heydar Aliev Lyceum in 2006, and then was admitted to the vocal department of music school No. 12 named after Tofig Guliev.

Yasin has achieved considerable success in the sphere of music recently. That is to say, he won the Grand Prix at the International Children Competition “Childhood Celebration” in Saint Petersburg, overcoming a hundred of participants from 27 countries. He also took the Grand Prix at the International Song Contest “Earth Under White Wings” held in Belarus among 25 countries and made the Azerbaijan flag wave once again. Yasin won the Grand Prix in one category and took third place in another category at the International Song Contest “Ti Amo” in Romania. He also received a special prize and took second place at “Golden Bee” contest held in Belarus. Yasin was second at the International Contest “Slavianski Bazaar”.

Buta’s willingness to promote Azerbaijani culture via cultural projects has brought along amazing results.
