Int'l conference on historic urban landscape in due Baku

An international conference entitled “Heritage Under Pressure – Perspectives of Historic Urban Landscape (HUL)” will take place in Azerbaijan`s capital on April 26-29.

The partners of the event are the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism, The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) of UNESCO World Heritage Center, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation of Italy.

According to the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism, scientists, experts and politicians of the relevant sphere from more than 50 countries are expected to attend the international conference.

The event will feature discussions on treating the urban development of historic cities – especially World Heritage Cities –, against the background of the latest UNESCO Recommendation on Historic Urban Landscapes.
