“Day of Azerbaijan” held in France

Azerbaijan`s student Babak Jafarov has organized an event entitled “Day of Azerbaijan” in France’s fourth largest city, Lille on Monday, to propagandize Azerbaijan in this country.

Studying for a Master of International Business (MIB) in one of the leading business schools located in Lille, France, IESEG School of Management, Babak Jafarov is the first and the only student representing Azerbaijan in this institution.

The event consisting of two parts was attended by students and professors representing various countries and lasted for 3 hours. During the official part of the event, the guests could familiarize themselves with Azerbaijan`s history, development, economy and cultural heritage. Modern art samples were demonstrated and videos about Azerbaijan broadcasted.

At the second part of the event, supported by the Azerbaijan`s embassy in France and SOCAR, Azerbaijan`s national cuisine and national pastries such as shakarbura, pakhlava, plov, dolma and other variety of dishes were demonstrated to the event attendees.

Finally, the participants were handed over books and journals about Azerbaijan published in English and French, as well as music disks of Azerbaijani classics and presents prepared by SOCAR.
