Baku hosts `musical rendezvous` of Netherlands-Azerbaijan

A chamber music concert called “Musical rendezvous of the Netherlands-Azerbaijan” was organized in the Rashid Behbudov State Song Theatre here. The concert was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Azerbaijan.

Prior to the concert, the Dutch ambassador to Azerbaijan Arjen Peter Uijterlinde addressed the event. Touching upon the successful development of relationship between the Netherlands and Azerbaijan in all spheres, especially in cultural filed, he underlined the significance of deepening the cooperation.

Arjen Peter Uijterlinde expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the organizational support. The Dutch ambassador noted that the Netherlands organizes a grandiose art exhibition once every 10 years.

“Azerbaijan will also join to this year`s exhibition,” he added. Sarah Cromback (piano), Aleksey Mitlikh (violoncello), Jeyla Seyidova (violin) will perform music pieces by composers Gara Garayev, Fikrat Amirov, Niyazi and Henrietta Bosmans.
