Dima Bilan returns to Eurovision stage

RTR, the Russian national broadcaster has revealed the names of the 25 finalists that will compete at the 2012 Russian national final scheduled to be aired on the 7th of March. The show will be aired live on Rossija 1 at 22 hrs Moscow time. Russian Eurovision winner Dima Bilan will be bidding to represent Russia for the 3rd time, this time in duet with Yulia Volkova (TATu). Yulia has already experienced Eurovision when she represented Russia at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the duo.

Dima Bilan enjoys fame, name and glory both in Russia and neighbouring countries. He has represented Russia 2 times at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 (placing 2nd) and in 2008 (placing 1st).

Among the candidates Aida and Timati are very well known in Russia, specially Timati who is very popular among the young Russians. The Buranovskiye Babushki (The grannies) are back in the Russian national final!
