Jedward will represent once again Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. The duo who hit Germany last year will fly the Irish flag in Baku with the song Waterline. Jedward received in total 114 points and they won both the jury and public vote thus the Irish guys will go to Baku.
The duo Jedward won the Irish selection contested by four more acts. The participants were mentored by different song writers or singers. Jedward were mentored by Linda Martin who won the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Why me. Jedward will perform Waterline in Baku as esctoday.com readers predicted the outcome. Infact 41.1% voted for Jedward in the poll. The winning song is penned by Nick Jarl and Sharon Vaughan.
In the show 1993 Eurovision winner and 2010 representative Niamh Kavanagh appeared in the show to comment about the songs while 1976 UK winners Brotherhood of man performed their classic Save your kisses for me. The winner of the Irish national final was selected via regional jury deliberation and tele-voting. Jedward will represent Ireland in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku on 22nd May.
