Russian rock-star Zemfira will perform in Baku

A concert by Russian rock-star Zemfira, organized by BUTA Production will take place in Buta Palace on March 23, 2012.

Zemfira is much more than just a name for those who love modern music. Zemfira stands for an exquisite quality when it comes to music and performance; it makes for the trademark soulful lyrics. It all reflects Zemfira’s outstanding personality, her great talent as an artist, poet and composer.

Zemfira has promised to sing her old-time hits that we all love and the new ones that we still have got to appreciate, BUTA Production reported.

Nasib Piriyev, General Director of Buta Art Centre and BUTA Production has stated in relation to this event: “Last year we have created an affiliate company for Buta Arts Centre. A company called BUTA Production unites a team of professionals in the field of organization of big commercial concerts. I believe today Azerbaijan is experiencing a certain deficit in specialists when it comes to stage decoration, sound, light and special effects. What we observe is a lack of expertise in booking high-class artists and attending to their needs during the tour. Our team is quickly gaining experience in the sphere of large project management and enjoys excellent reputation among producers from neighboring states. Here is our first big achievement: after an impressive period of negotiations, Zemfira and her management have agreed to work in partnership with us and will come to Baku. Unfortunately, Zemfira’s last visit to Baku has turned out to be a disappointment in terms of concert organization. I’m sure we can fit to the artist’s high standards and it will affect the overall quality of the show. I would like to congratulate all those who love good music in Baku with the upcoming event. A Russian rock legend, Zemfira, is coming to wish us a happy Novruz!”

The Buta Arts Centre was established in 2004 to promote the arts of Azerbaijan. Nowadays, however, it collaborates with artists from around the world and takes part in major international arts and cultural events. Buta strives to celebrate Azerbaijani arts all around the world and the centre’s work in this regard has already brought about great benefits – thanks to the activity of the Centre every year much more people in abroad get familiar with the rich culture of this country.
