Economic crisis hit Eurovision Dance Contest

The European Broadcast Union (EBU) has decided not to hold Eurovision Dance Contest, EBU coordinator of the project Sietse Bakker said. He stated that  this decision is related to the economic crisis in Europe. Eurovision Dance Competition held in 2007. The second time the competition was held in 2008.

Sietse Bakker said that the committee was faced with the choice of song, dance and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. And it was decided to hold only Eurovision Song Contest and Eurovision Junior.  At the same time, he did not rule out holding Eurovision Dance Contest in the future.
