Representing Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2012 Song Contest is a great responsibility, Sabina Babayeva said in an interview with the contest's official website.

"Representing Azerbaijan at contest which will be held in Azerbaijan is a great responsibility for me," she said. She noted she has participated in national selections of Eurovision since 2008 and hasn't lost hope for these years.

Representing Azerbaijan at Eurovision Contest was her biggest dream, she stressed.
Sabina Babayeva in childhood was a soloist with the "Happy music" chorus. She graduated from the Music College named after Asaf Zeynalli on vocal department. She is also a winner of the first prize in the nomination for the best foreign song in "The Wave" contest in 1999, winner of international contest of young vocalists "Golden Hit-99"; owner of a diploma for participation in charity concerts marking the International Day of Children Victims of Aggression and the UN Programme of "The International Year of World Culture 2000", winner of first prize at the International Festival, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of world War II, winner of first prize at the national competition of" The Golden key - 2001", winner of the Grand Prix of international Competition of Young Performers "Amberstar-2009" in Latvia, the Grand Prix at the international competition of young performers "Slavic Star-2009"; member of national selections "Eurovision Song Contest 2008 - 2012". Now she is a soloist of the "Aypara" group.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Baku Crystal Hall, which is under construction near the area of the State Flag.

The Baku Crystal Hall is the arena with a capacity of up to 23,000 spectators. Approximately 16,000 people will be able to attend each of the three Eurovision Song Contest live shows in May.

The Eurovision 2012 semi-final rounds will be held in Baku on May 22-24, and the finals on May 26. The motto of the contest is "Light your fire" and the logo is "Flaming flower".
