Int'l Symphonic Orchestra may join U. Hajibeyli Int'l Music Festival

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev yesterday met with the ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Michael Labenda. Significant issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries were in the focus.

The sides have underlined importance of boosting bilateral cultural contacts as there is, according to them, greater potential for cooperation in this field. Also discussed were the questions of organizing days of culture of Azerbaijan in Poland, the issues of mutual cooperation in the field of movie and theater.

Ambassador Labenda expressed gratitude for providing opportunity for participation of 8 Azerbaijani talented musicians among the 111 young musicians of the United International Symphonic Orchestra in October-November 2011 supported by Polish leadership. The diplomat offered to organize similar International Cultural Program in Baku.

Minister Garayev suggested participation of the United International Symphonic Orchestra to take part at the Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival due in September current year. Ambassador of Poland expressed confidence for further expansion of tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries in the years to come.
